As a new staff member at Jigsaw Java I am pleased to say that the Autism Art Auction was a complete success. From the beautiful artwork to the mesmorizing music that filled our ears, everyone at the event went home with a smile. We raised roughly around 4,000 dollars and all the proceeds went to the Autism Society of America the Local Chapter. The night started with delicious hors d'oeuvres followed by music from a variety of musicians including Nick Guzman. Later a demonstration of Mneme Art therapy was shown with Art therapist Lizette Lugo. Guests were interested and impressed by the interesting artwork that was produced during the short session. Later the auctioneer enthusiastically auctioned off the artwork. The most rewarding part of all the hard work that came into putting this all together was to see the smiles on the Artists faces when people were offering money for their pieces. I can speak for everyone at Jigsaw Java when I say planning for this event was time well spent. Thank you to all that helped make this event possible and we are already excited for next year.
