As a place to host your child's birthday party, Jigsaw Java provides a unique party experience. We can accommodate up to 40 people (including adults) for a 2 hour time block. We recommend this type of party for children ages 3 and above.

"My 6 year old son had a really good time at his birthday party and loved it here--as did his friends and all the parents. I don't like drop-off impersonal parties. This was great because all the kids had fun, the parents had a chance to sit and chat with free coffee (its great!), rather than lurk around at the periphery as they usually have to at other party locations. Here are the pros:

1. Nice location on Main Street,one of the nicest parts of Redwood City.
2. The store didn't look commercial (like many other kids party places). It was warm, intimate, clean and festive. Mary let us decorate with balloons, etc. as well.
3. Personalized attention and experience: I went back and forth with Mary regarding the timing and type of cake and she was very accommodating.
4. There are plenty of challenging puzzles that parents can enjoy, which gives a good chance to relax while the kids are taken care of.
5. If you love puzzles, its certainly the place.

I thought it would be a little monotonous, but I was mistaken. There are so many different little games and contests that you can play with the puzzles too, and beyond that there are a bunch of board games as well for different age groups. Some of the siblings stayed back and enjoyed that. I would strongly recommend this party place for kids 6 -12. Many parents asked me about how I found this place . Its quite the gem. "

There is a $75 Booking Fee (includes plates, cups, napkins, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, staff to run games and puzzle activities), plus:

$15/Child: 1 mini-puzzle competition, 2 blank puzzles to draw on and take home, 1 custom photo puzzle for birthday child, group games led by our staff
$20/Child: 1 mini-puzzle competition, 2 blank puzzles to draw on and one custom photo puzzle of birthday child to take home, 1 large custom photo puzzle for birthday child, group games led by our staff
$25/Child: 1 mini-puzzle competition, 2 blank puzzles to draw on and take home, 1 custom photo puzzle for each child, group games led by our staff

Here are some special extras we can add to your event:

Balloons: add a dozen festive balloons to your party for $20
Cupcakes: Add 1 dozen cupcakes to your party for $40
Photography: have the entire party photographed professionally by Christine Tan Photography for $150.
Face Painting: have Lisa Wong Face-Painting your party for $80-125/hour, depending on # of kids

All birthday party bookings require a minimum 14-day-advance notice and a $75 non-refundable deposit. For custom puzzles with your images, images must be received 14 days in advance.
